Credit Card Genie aims to achieve three things (three wishes!):- Wish 1 lets you research credit cards, look at the major credit card providers, and work out your approach to comparing credit cards.
- The Wish 2 credit card search lets you search our database of UK credit cards and compare the most important details.
- Wish 3 lets you compare your shortlist of credit cards side-by-side so that you can make an informed choice.
Credit cards are big business. You can get credit cards from just about anywhere: banks, football clubs, universities, internet lenders, building societies, and the rest. Check out our directory of credit card companies.
In fact, there's so many credit cards (see our credit card search for an idea) that finding the best credit card for you can be a bit daunting. We can help you with that bit.
Spend some time researching your criteria (use our credit card buyers' guide), and always check the credit card conditions before you agree to anything. These conditions are explained in a "summary box" which follows a standard format, making it easier to compare cards.
The information on this site is all provided for guidance only. The credit card company will (or will not) make you an offer based on your personal circumstances, such as credit rating, income, age, and so on.
The headline considerations when comparing credit cards are the the APR, any incentives for taking out that credit card (balance transfer rates, for example), and ongoing incentives (such as cashback).
